Life Catch Up

I always thought I would keep up with a blog...fail big time on my part.  Life has been great and busy.
In May right before we got married, Josue got a new job at Deer Valley! He loves it!! He is a lift mechanic, really he makes sure the lifts work and are safe for the skiers.
One scary thing did happen to us on August 1st, I got a call from Josue saying he had just left the clinic cause he had fallen off a lift tower.  The strap that they use to hoist themselves up on the wire snapped and they just went falling down.  Luckily he had a harness on but still scary.  He and all the guys he works with got a lecture how when a work accident happens your call your wife/girlfriend on the way to the doctor not when you leave :)
Since then we have moved into a much bigger apartment in Salt Lake to hold all of our gear! Its nice for once to have a normal sized closet again.

This summer my dad got his Packard up and running which hasn't worked until I was a baby! Its been fun to drive around in and it is the light of his life!!

This past weekend we woke up to this amount of snow!!! We were both very excited to get this much snow but I really don't like cleaning it! Isn't that a husbands job?

This summer we also were housesitting and this handsome guy came up and hung out with us! He would only hang around when Josue wasn't home so I started calling him by boyfriend! I think he was protecting me when I was alone! I've never seen a moose this close, I was just through a sliding glass door from him!
This guy turned 26 in October! He is just the light of my life! I honestly don't know what I would do without him! Not a day goes by I'm not thankful for him! He can get me to giggle when I'm having the worst of days!

For Halloween, Josue came up with the idea to be LEGOS! It was a super easy costume to make but a little big and awkward to wear!
Hopefully I will get better at updating the blog!

Honeymoon....

We were sent off to Mexico one week after our wedding...We took the red eye to Cancun on Saturday night and landed around 9 am on Sunday.  We spent our entire week between the ocean and the pool reading and just enjoying each other.  After the madness of the wedding and planning it was the most perfect week!
We couldn't check in quite yet so we just changed and went to the pool

One of the views from our room over the pool.
 View out of our window!

This stupid party boat hung out in the bay outside of our hotel every night and they would have fights with each other.

Cutest dad and son singing in our hotel lobby bar every night!

The boat we took to Isla Mujeres

We rented a golf cart to drive around the island for a few hours.  This island only has 1 road that goes around the whole island.  It was super fun to see real life Mexico not just what tourists see.

 Entrance to Turtle farm.

Best tourist picture of my boy!

The water was amazing while we were there.  Everything about it, its warm, its gorgeous and wonderful to just relax.

Cute little guy selling Popsicle on the beach.

On the boat back to Cancun.
On the boat home from the Island back we had a dance party on the top level.  to start it off me and Josue had to start dancing, once the music stopped we needed to find two more people to join us before we had a bunch of people dancing.  Once that was done there was a sexy dance contest.  There was Josue, a guy from Columbia and a guy from Idaho.  Josue was the first and youngest and it was just hilarious.

Cute little grandpa that won the contest of being the sexiest!
 Going to dinner and dancing!

Every night there was a piano player in the bar and he would call us up and make the honeymooners dance!
Sweet couple celebrating their 25th anniversary!

 The mercado!
Best shot of the whole week!

I feel like every day we would hang at the beach and then around 4 a storm would roll in.  This night it poured rain for about 3 hours and when we looked out the whole pool area was flooding from the crazy storm.

Hours later and the beach was as calm as could be and beautiful!

We met some amazing people on our trip.  Above are our friends from Boston and Arizona.  The girls all wanted to get a tan so Josue and Derek(green shirt) went paddle boarding in the lagoon.

This family was celebrating their 50th and 25th wedding anniversary and made us feel like a part of their family!  After we met them and hung out for a few days we both said that they gave us hope and we would hope to be like they are after so many years!
We saw a crocodile in the ocean on our second to last day there and it was amazing how small they can be!
Sporting my Kentucky Derby hat my mom gave me!
 The caught and injured Crocodile.

This was our hotel that we stayed in!

The last night we were there we decided to splurge and have a fancy dinner.  We took the bus and asked them to let us know when we were there.  Then the bus did its turn around and apparently we missed the bus stop which was like 3 minutes from our hotel which turned into 25 minutes.  It was an adventure to say the least!

 Celebrating our 2 week anniversary!

 Last night of dance parties!

I would highly recommend going on vacation where you have no cell phone service and avoid the internet after getting married.  It was the best week spent with just Josue and no one else was around!
